Scott completed the piece on May 11, 2016 for a contest Netflix was holding for artwork on their disk mailers. The due date for the submissions was May 15, and the winners were supposed to be notified by May 31. Scott was never notified, so he assumed he didn't win.
Subject and title[]
Since the piece was for a movie rental company, Scott figured a good subject would be a couple sitting on the couch watching TV.
