History[]
Scott completed the piece on July 9, 2023. He uploaded it to his DeviantART page the next day. The original pencil sketches were posted to his Patreon on August 7.
Subject and title[]
Scott drew a "garg-ified" movie poster parodying the films Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2, turning it into a Disney Gargoyles-related poster instead. The following is what Scott posted in the artworks description on his DeviantArt page:
These are the Quarrymen, bent on destroying all Gargoyles while they're in their stone sleep. They use those electric hammer things. And I've included Vinnie and his giant pie-shooting gun "Mr. Carter". (I know he didn't use the gun while he was a Quarryman, but I wanted to include it anyway.) All the characters listed at the bottom of the drawing are known Quarrymen members. And the date, in official Gargoyles canon, was the day Castaway held the first meeting to recruit new people into the Quarrymen.
