Scott completed the piece on November 11, 2019. He uploaded it to his DeviantART page the next day.
Subject and title[]
Scott wanted to draw a series of comic covers as if the classic RPG Chrono Trigger was published in comic book form, each cover depicting the events in the game's story. (Scott played Chrono Trigger on the Super Nintendo.)
In this issue, the story would be:
..."part three" of the final battle with Lavos. After defeating Lavos' first two forms, it's now time for the team to face the entity known as the Lavos Core.

Scott started out with a pencil sketch, then inked the final line work. He then scanned the drawing and added some digital work in Paint Shop Pro.
