Scott completed the piece on December 13, 2018. He uploaded it to his DeviantART page the next day.
Subject and title[]
Scott wanted to draw a series of comic covers as if the classic RPG Chrono Trigger was published in comic book form, each cover depicting the events in the game's story. (Scott played Chrono Trigger on the Super Nintendo.)
In this issue, the story would be:
...the "Hero's Grave" quest. The team travels back and forth between 600 AD and 1000 AD to repair the Northern Ruins and free Sir Cyrus' ghost, allowing him to move on to the afterlife.

Scott started out with a pencil sketch, then inked the final line work. He then scanned the drawing and added some digital work in Paint Shop Pro.
