Scott completed the piece on September 11, 2018. He uploaded it to his DeviantART page the same day.
Subject and title[]
Scott wanted to draw a series of comic covers as if the classic RPG Chrono Trigger was published in comic book form, each cover depicting the events in the game's story. (Scott played Chrono Trigger on the Super Nintendo.)
In this issue, the story would be:
...after the Kingdom of Zeal collapses causing a tidal wave that wipes out most of the population. While the team mourns the death of Crono, Dalton swoops in and kidnaps them, taking them aboard his ship, the Blackbird.

Scott started out with a pencil sketch, then inked the final line work. He then scanned the drawing and added some digital work in Paint Shop Pro.
