Scott completed the piece on April 19, 2018. He uploaded it to his DeviantART page the same day.
Subject and title[]
Scott wanted to draw a series of comic covers as if the classic RPG Chrono Trigger was published in comic book form, each cover depicting the events in the game's story. (Scott played Chrono Trigger on the Super Nintendo.)
In this issue, the story would be:
...after the battle with Giga Gaia. Having rescued Melchior and escaped the Mountain of Woe before it's destroyed, Crono and the team return to the village to find Schala who has decided to turn against Queen Zeal. But then Dalton arrives to kidnap her and take her back to the Kingdom of Zeal. So the team sets out to Zeal Palace in an attempt to defeat Dalton and rescue Schala.

Scott started out with a pencil sketch, then inked the final line work. He then scanned the drawing and added some digital work in Paint Shop Pro.
