Scott completed the piece on October 17, 2017. He uploaded it to his DeviantART page two days later.
Subject and title[]
Scott wanted to draw a series of comic covers as if the classic RPG Chrono Trigger was published in comic book form, each cover depicting the events in the game's story. (Scott played Chrono Trigger on the Super Nintendo.)
In this issue, the story would be:
...when Crono and the team enter Zeal Palace and follow Schala only to find a sealed door. After powering up the pendant with the Mammon Machine, they open that sealed door and stumble into a meeting between Queen Zeal, Dalton, Schala, and the mysterious Prophet.

Scott started out with a pencil sketch, then inked the final line work. He then scanned the drawing and added some digital work in Paint Shop Pro.
