History

Scott finished the illustration on November 17, 2016. They were printed out as his Christmas cards on December 2^nd and the digital image was uploaded to his DeviantART page December 24^th. It was posted to his Cara page July 22, 2024.

Subject and title

Scott decided it was about time he illustrated his own Christmas cards. He is an artist, after all. So he sent these out with a cheesy line on the back about being on the naughty list. Being part of a hockey family, he figured the penalty box idea would go over well with his loved ones.

Media

Scott started out with a pencil sketch, then inked the final line work. He then scanned the drawing and added some digital coloring in Paint Shop Pro.
