Scott completed the piece on October 21, 2017. He uploaded it to his DeviantART page the 24th and his Facebook page the 25th.
A few years later, on April 18, 2020, it was posted to his ArtStation page. And on March 6, 2021 it was posted to his Instagram page. It was posted to his Cara page August 5, 2024.
Subject and title[]
This is a drawing of Ben Kenobi from the very first Star Wars movie. This was originally supposed to be part of a larger "ghost"-related image (similar to Have a Spine-Tingling Halloween) but Scott decided to can that idea and just use a couple individual characters (this and LEGO Ghost). This drawing started out as the ghost Ben Kenobi from The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

Scott started out with a pencil drawing, then inked the final line work. He then scanned the drawing to work on it digitally in Paint Shop Pro.
